International Overseas Candidates
CHRIST IMPERIAL INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT AND SCIENCE has always been a preferred choice for International students. Students from countries across the globe have joined our Under Graduate & Post Graduate level courses each year. To facilitate the smooth admissions process for foreign nationals, international admissions team provide extensive support and individual attention to each applicant. Foreign nationals/ NRIs / other international students may follow the guidelines below for better understanding of our admission norms and requirements.
Definition of International Category:

Foreign Nationals [Foreign passport holder] or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) will be considered under the International category. This is irrespective of the country from where they have studied and passed the qualifying examinations.
The selection procedure includes:

Statement of Purpose

Portfolio Evaluation, and

Personal Interview
Statement of Purpose (SOP) is a statement of about 500 to 750 word describing overview of the applicant’s academic and professional accomplishments. SOP should demonstrate a high level of interest in and a highly developed understanding of the chosen discipline. Applicant should state intended focus, as well as personal and professional goals and give reason(s) for applying & your long-term career plans.
The applicant should highlight some of the applicant’s leadership experience and entrepreneurial spirit. Applicants may forward their digital Portfolio of work / PDF files / animation or multimedia files via email for their selection.
Personal Interview:
CHRIST IMPERIAL INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT AND SCIENCE facilitates telephonic and online (Skype / video conferencing) interviews for the international / overseas applicants. The date and time of interview will be intimated via individual email / telephone calls. International students are exempted from appearing in the written entrance test.
International students may be required to submit TOEFL or IELTS results as proof of English language proficiency before joining.
Application Procedure

International applicants are required to apply through Online Application only on the IIFA Lancaster Degree College website.

The Written Entrance Examination is waived-off for International Candidates. International candidates are required to appear for an Interview and Portfolio Evaluation only.

Application Form Fee: Rs. 2000/- (non – refundable)
Mode of Payment:
Applicants are required to pay application form charges Rs. 2000/- by Credit Card / Debit Card/Net banking.

All relevant certificates/degrees/mark sheets of the qualifying examination in support of the eligibility conditions as prescribed for Admission. The Equivalence of the degree/ School certificate may be procured by the applicant from the Association of Indian University (AIU) before submission of his/ her application.

In case the certificates/degrees/mark sheets of the qualifying examination are in a language other than English, the same should be got translated into English language and produce at the time of registration.

Visa
All the international students will require a Student Visa endorsed for ‘Studies at IIFA Lancaster Degree College’ only. No other endorsement is acceptable. The visa should be valid for the prescribed duration of the course.
FRRO Registration
CHRIST IMPERIAL INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT AND SCIENCE will facilitate the FRRO Registration of International Students only in case they are admitted as International Students and paying the applicable fee.
Candidates admitted under International Category will be required to register with FRRO within 14 days of arrival in India.
Important Guidelines

The admission of foreign national candidate is subject to fulfilling minimum eligibility requirement as prescribed for Indian candidate and subject to equivalence of qualification at par with Indian standard. In case at a late stage, it is found that the eligibility conditions are not fulfilled, the offer of admission is treated as cancelled ipso facto.

Exceptions:
-
Non Resident Indian (NRI) candidates who are residing in a foreign country and holding a valid Indian Passport may be considered under the International Category, if interested.

NRI Candidates holding a valid Indian Passport may also apply for admission under the Normal category, following the Normal category admission procedure accordingly.

NRI Candidates opting to be considered under the International Category will be required to submit proof of their NRI Status.

NRI Candidates holding a valid Indian Passport may also apply for admission under the Normal category, following the Normal category admission procedure accordingly.

Candidates of Nepal may be considered under Normal category for admission. They will follow the Normal category admission procedure accordingly.

Only those Students who are admitted under the International Category and paying the international fees will be facilitated FRRO registration by the Academy.

The application fee (Rs. 2000/-) will be non-refundable in any case.
Fee Structure:
The fee structure for international admissions may be obtained on request from International Admissions Team/ Campus Registrar Office. Also available at Semester Fee Structure 2020 International
Refund Policy:
The applicant may apply for refund within 30 days of completed application or commencement of session whichever is earlier.
The refund rules (2020-21) of the Academy will be applicable to International students as well. Candidates may refer the refund policy on Fee-Refund-Guidelines-Normal-Category
