Course - Overview

BSc. in Hotel Management and Catering Sciences program at IIFA prepares students for leadership roles in hospitality, restaurant operations, management, and entrepreneurship. Students acquire significant knowledge and abilities in food production, food and beverage service, front office operations, hotel administration, and management studies. The training focuses on the attitudes, contextual knowledge, and practices required in the hospitality sector, as well as health, safety, cultural, sociological, legal, and environmental aspects. Furthermore, students gain research skills to handle business difficulties in hospitality and management through immersive, course-based learning. The program is intended to meet industry standards for the skill and knowledge components. Soft skill training, event organization like food festival/carnival, menu planning, marketing and sales, demos and workshops, and national and international industrial visits all provide value. Students receive industrial exposure training at various star hotels/resorts to facilitate a smooth transition from student to job. The program provides actual training in the four key areas of hotel operations: food production, food and beverage service, front office operations, and housekeeping.
